 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child actress shortly after immigrating to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and since 2020 - earned her acclaim. She was also a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot series for New Warriors. Vayntrub is an Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and is a Jew. Her parents and her fled antisemitism at the age of two. They settled in West Hollywood. At the age of five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But, she dropped out of her sophomore year and earned the GED. Following that she was able to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. She was a member of improv comedy group the Upright Citizens Brigade.
